Coronado Cross Country boys and girls had an awsome showing at the District 2-5A meet Saturday 10/27.    Varsity Girls missed 1st place by 1 point with all 7 girls medalling in the top 15 with MacKenzie and Lyndsie J.  finishing 2nd and 4th.   Donovan and Matt finished 1st and 2nd dominating the boys varsity group.

 

 

 

 

Both Teams are qualified to run in the Regional 5A meet on Saturday 11/03 at Mae Simons Park in Lubbock.  This will take these teams 1 step closer to the State meet in Round Rock on 11/10.

 Allison has all time personal best at district 2-5A meet at Mae Simmons Saturday 10/27.     Allison had commanding lead over 2nd place Amarillo High.

 

 

 

 

CHS Varsity Boys & Girls 2nd in District

ROUND ROCK - Coronado freshmen Mackenzie Ard and Lyndsie Jacobs finished eighth and 11th, respectively, at the McNeil Invitational at Old Settlers Park, which will host the UIL State Championships in November.    Ard finished the 2-mile course in 12 minutes, 8 seconds, and Jacobs crossed the finish line only one second later.    The duo led the Lady Mustangs to a fourth-place finish in the Class 5A-4A division, and they finished just 60 points behind winner Katy Cinco Ranch.

Sh'Kendra Hightower finished 24th individually to lead Monterey.

 In the gold division boys race, Coronado's Matt Kutugata and Donovan Torres finished 13th and 17th, respectively. Big Spring's Zack Dawson, who finished third at last year's state meet, won the race.
